Cash advanced items are products and/or services necessary when planning a funeral but additional to the costs of funeral services, caskets and vaults.

For Example: If church services are requested and charges are $350 to have those services, then Hann Funeral Home will issue a check the day of the funeral and the $350 charge will appear on your funeral bill. The funeral home has just advanced cash to you.

Cemetery Charges
Cemetery charges are the most common and usually the largest cash advanced item on a funeral bill. Most families will have fees to pay at the cemetery prior to burial. Cemetery charges very greatly. Call the cemetery office for more information about applicable fees.

Church or Clergy
Weather you decide to include a church or use a clergyman, every funeral is concluded with some type of service. There is usually a stipend required. If you do not have clergy, the funeral home can provide you with one. Contact us to find out about charges for local clergy.

Death Notices
Death Notices are necessary but can be very expensive. Typically we place notices in the Sun-Times, Tribune and Daily Southtown. Costs very by the number of lines used, 15-20 lines is the average. Budget about $150 per paper/ per day.

Death Certificates
Death certificates very in cost from city to city and county to county based on the place of death. The first copy usually costs more than additional copies. This charge is minimal compared to the rest of the funeral. Budget about $15.00 for the first copy and $5.00 for each additional copy.

Flowers
We sell flowers at a reasonable price and as a convenience to our families. Our flower price list is available upon request. You are also more than welcome to use your own florist.
